Not Effective
Some will tell you that natural soap isn't as effective as regular soap, but that is simply untrue! The way soap molecules work is by loosening bacteria and viruses from your hands so that they can be washed away. Other soaps may add different ingredients that claim they'll kill bacteria and viruses, but that doesn't mean they are actually more effective in cleaning skin and eliminating germs than natural soap.
Not Moisturizing
While you might hear that natural soaps aren't as moisturizing, we think that's just silly. Natural soaps are often made with ingredients such as olive oil, shea butter and/or other naturally moisturizing substances. These help moisturize your skin while cleaning it, leaving your skin not only clean, but soft, too. Natural soap also retains it's natural glycerin, which we'll talk about in the next point!
Lye Is Bad For You
We often get asked, "why does your soap have lye in it?" Truth is, all soap has lye! It wouldn't be soap if it didn't have lye! The chemical reaction of making soap is called saponification, which is when oil molecules and lye come together to create soap and glycerin. Natural soaps keep that glycerin in the soap, and that glycerin, in turn, helps to provide more moisturizing properties to the soap!
