Here at Legends Creek Farm we love offering you Goat Milk Products that are all-natural, and contain everything your skin needs to feel great and nothing it doesn't. Because our goat milk is such an important part of our products and brand, we thought a blog post about our goats would be a fun way for you to learn about them.
Our Goats
Our goats live on a beautiful 10-acre farm in Idaho. We currently have 17 Nubian Does, 9 Boer Does, and 4 Sires, and we have added many kids this season! We even had one doe kid out 7 kids! It's an exciting time around the farm. We love seeing the unique coats and colors our kids come out with, and love watching them get their start in life.
Taking Care of the Goats
We have our Raw Milk License issued from the Idaho Department of Agriculture, and we test our milk monthly for quality.
We leave our kids on the does and allow them to wean naturally, which is approximately at 8-12 weeks. The nutritional care of our mamas and kids is our top priority!
In order to breed, you need to make sure there is no relation. After our kids are weaned we sometimes sell them to local farms and families, and sometimes we will also purchase kids from local farms as well
