Basically, they are meaningful habits and routines.

Rituals are deeply connected to our core values. Rituals help our values become stronger because we perform them because of those values. They can have cultural and spiritual meanings to them. They help us connect more deeply with ourselves and those we love. They help bring joy and meaning to our day. They help ground us and keep us focused and bring us a feeling of safety.
