Yes, but over-washing strips the natural oils from your scalp leaving you with a dry scalp and damaged and brittle hair. Your hair might seem greasy quickly, but it's because by striping the natural oils, your scalp is producing more oil to compensate. If you want to start washing your hair less, you might have to push through a few weeks of greasy hair while your scalp's oils balance themselves back out. It will be worth it though when your hair appears less damaged and you can go days between washes - saving you so much time!

Use Less Heat
We of course want to have beautifully styled hair, but using too much heat on your hair can damage it and create split ends and unmanageable hair. Another advantage of washing your hair less is that you might use less heat on it, too! If you want to start using less heat on your hair, you might try to let it air dry after washing it. You can also try alternative ways to style it, such as braiding your hair to create waves, or trying some different heatless curl methods. Discovering different ways to style your hair without heat not only prevents heat damage, it can be a fun way to change up how you do your hair!

Use The Right Products
Sometimes we can be washing less and using less heat, but our hair still seems a bit unruly. This might be because you're using hair products that just don't jive with your hair type! Finding the right products for you can sometimes be frustrating because it often takes some trial and error. Just because a certain shampoo and conditioner works for your friend, doesn't mean it's going to work for you, too. Learning about your hair type is a great start, and no matter what you end up using, a type of heat protectant is key, and a type of oil or serum (there are lightweight ones for those with fine hair!) will also help keep your hair moisturized and healthy.
